always had an advantage in raw jute trading.
Bangladesh is still the largest exporter of raw jute in
the world. Since Bangladesh is a country of South-
Asian, jute has been considered as a golden crop for
the country. After the liberation of Bangladesh in
1971 Jute Sector was taken up with special and
realistic approach. Bangladesh, therefore, remains
the unchallenged monopolist of this wonderful crop. It is our pride and our most
valuable asset. It is the main cash crop of our country and a valuable commodity
for international trade. It is called the golden fiber of Bangladesh. Bangladesh is
sweet land of jute.
